Abstract

The aim of this work is to develop an analysis on the vertical loads distribution along the height of a Plain Structural Masonry building. It will be built a four-floor building in the small-scale (1:4). The model will be instrumented in accordance with the correct techniques being possible to monitor the loads during the execution and after that, accomplishing live load tests. The instrumentation will be applied on the supporting points of the structure and on pre-defined points in the walls. Using a finite element numeric model, it will be done analysis to verify how the experimental results match with the numerical ones. On the foundations, it will be predicted systems that allow the imposition of base displacements to develop future works in this field. (AU)
