Abstract

The present research project has as main objective to model mathematically, to simulate, to optimize and to build a base cutter for sugar cane to be applied to a semi-mechanized system (mechanical aid) for sugar cane harvest. The system to be designed should be driven by a low power electrical motor due to the constructive restrictions of the machine. The mechanism should be able to follow the soil profile in order to reduce the contamination of the product with earth. This base cutter will be set up in the device for mechanical aid for crop harvesting that is been developed by FEAGRI/UNICAMP through a thematic project (Process 2001/14302-1) acnd a PIPE project (Process 2004/14468-5) in partnership with the company AGRICEF Technological Solutions, and tested at laboratory.
