Abstract

The present project intends to characterize demographically and epidemiologically the population served by the CAPSi units qualified, for more than the one year, in SUS of the State of São Paulo. It is intended to recognize the pathologies most frequent in the Services and its distribution in the health network, beyond to recognizing the socio-demographic features of the cared population. For in such a way, the handbook analysis will serve us as a source of information that will be obtained by protocols, applied by a trained team of researchers. The twenty (20) CAPSi units qualified in the SUS until April of 2006 will be studied, they only take care of a fraction of the demand from this age, therefore, 12,7% of the population suffers with some type of mental disorder. To do a demographic-epidemiological update profile through the patient?s handbooks analysis, let us to assume that, we will find different modalities of register and different types of shunting line in the fulfilling of the handbooks. A research pilot will be applied so that the instrument can be better adjusted for the data collection. Also, a complementary interviews, half-directed, will be carried through, investigating the practical relative to the use of handbooks. The data will receive statistical handling and the analysis of the results will allow it to reflect on the conditions of the child-youth mental health care, accurately where the principles of the public policies happen to the user.
