Abstract

Alloys containing refractory metals (RM), silicon and boron have a good potential for high-temperature structural applications. Alloys of the Cr-Si-B system may be applied as additives in these structural alloys as well as in their protective coatings. The objective of this project is to perform the thermodynamic modeling of the Cr-Si-B ternary system as a step in the development of a thermodynamic database related to the RM-Si-B alloy class. (AU)
