Abstract

This Project has two main goals. First of all, it aims to continue the investigation on the role of the political party machinery in the electoral dynamic and its influence on the performance of the main political parties. In fact, this research has been initiated in my pos-doc studies, but I had to interrupt it due my admission as a professor at the Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCAR). The second purpose of this project is to promote the establishment of a center dedicated to electoral and parties studies, in order to motivate and coordenate the works on these classic subjects of political sicence.
