Abstract

A limiting factor of the embryo transfer programs is the number and quality of recipients mares during the breeding season. Protocols of ovulation synchronization show low and/or inconsistent results and acyclic recipients hormonal preparations is not available during the whole breeding season. Follicles >25mm ablation induce the formation of luteum estructure capable of producing concentrations of progesterone similar to diestrous (>2ng/ml) and it might be a technique with high potential of recipients preparation. This work aims to evaluate the luteal formation of follicles >25mm ablated and to test this mares fertility after inovulation. Mares were randomly distributed into three experimental groups: control group (ovulation induzed by 2500IU of hCG), ablation group (ablation of dominant follicle e25mm) and hCG + ablation (2500IU of hCG 24h before ablation of follicle e25mm). On D5, a 7.5mg of PGF2± dose will be done for induction of luteolysis and it will be followed by growth follicular rates accompaniment for detection of the ablation moment (presence of follicle e25mm and uterine edema). The experiment will be devided into two fases: fase 1- 30 cycles (10 cycles/group) will be used to dosages of intrafollicular estradiol and progesterone, ultrassonography evalution by B mode and Power Doppler of luteal structures and uterus and plasmatic concentrations of progesterone and LH; fase 2 - fertility test will be done (n=20 cycles/group) by inovulation in the recipients of control group and ablation group of better results from fase 1.
