Abstract

Heart failure (HF) is a major public health problems worldwide, with growing numbers in any epidemiological analysis. The disease is directly related to age and move the prospect of living in developed countries working with the spread of disease. The sleep disorders have been described as frequent among patients with HF. Studies in populations with cardiovascular diseases suggest that poor sleep affects the quality of life, and is one of major causes of discomfort for this population. Therefore, the objective of this study is to describe the sleep pattern of patients with HF and examine associations between sleep and sex, age, fatigue, physical activity, HF functional class, medication, depression, dyspnea, and body mass index. This is an exploratory descriptive cross-sectional study in patients in outpatient treatment of Cardiomyopathy. The sample will be approximately 384 patients and will use instruments to measure variables mentioned. Descriptive and inferential (association) statistics will be applied to the data. (AU)
