Abstract

This proposal looks for answers to the following three basic research questions: Which is the actual diffusion of initiatives that try to introduce organization and technological innovations in operations environments characterized by strong presence of the so called knowledge workers and therefore, strongly dependent of product and process innovation? How have firms managed their essencial knowledge as a means to keep them and so diferentiate from the others via innovation, in volatile and competitive markets? Which are the effects of downsizing and the consequent redesign of the supply chain in the capacity of inovate and offer hign class service to customers? (AU)
