Abstract

Although the great industrial development and evolution in the formularization of the restoring, many composits are the possibilities of imperfections found in restorations with composed resin. Between some factors that lead to such imperfections as microinfiltration delinquent and others, the unfamiliarity of the action of the time on the behavior of its chemical components, makes of the diversity of the composits a problem for the surgeon dentist whom it desires to select a good material direct restoring. Thus this work considers to evaluate it microstructural characteristics of eight compósities comumente commercialized, after to be submitted to a process of sped up artificial aging so that if it could predict, in laboratory, its relative durability, with regard to the effect of the degradation in its chemical composition and its physical and mechanical properties to facilitate not only the election of a more durable compósito but also to detect critical points in its composition and to make possible the suggestion of modification of the same ones. As the possibilities to study the degradation of these polymers are diverse, as, for example, through the half chemistries and physicists, it was thought about a work where initially it would be studied degradation of the composed resin through precocious aging using it ultraviolet radiation and after that the evaluation of the microstructural degradation and thus to explain its behavior how much to the resistance alteration, reduction of the superficial hardness. Thus for the accomplishment of this project it will be become fullfilled analysis of the correlation structure-property of eight composits using Electronic Microscopy of Varredura (MEV), thermal analyses of Calorimetria Exploratória Diferencial (DSC), Termogravimetria, Spectroscopy in the Infra-red ray and mechanical assays of superficial hardness and resistance the breaking.
