Abstract

The objective of this research is to understand the meanings of the work of teachers in public university in the context of intense work and poor working conditions. Their practice through the walls of the university extending their work day at work and breaking balls like the family, leisure and your own subjectivity is kidnapped by more than work that is imposed on the teacher. Would still on something human in his work or the work process and conditions of the university made the work intensely inhuman? This project initiates the third phase of the research program began with the research FAPESP (process number 1996/5576-0), followed by the research (process number 2004/07559-4). Both resulted in publications, respectively, "New Faces of Higher Education in Brazil (2nd Ed.)" and "Work Intensified in" Federal Universities: Post-graduate and academic productivity". (AU)
