Abstract

The community health workers when introduced in the process of health work is presented as a possibility of carrying out actions of strengthening the community in coping with their health problems. Based on this preposition, this study aims to characterize the profile and identify the health activities conducted by community workers based in the skills offered by the Health Ministry with special attention to the actions of health promotion. This research will be applied to the Collegiate Regional Manager in the High Capivari RHD XI Presidente Prudente compound by municipalities of Iêpe, João Ramalho, Nantes, Quatá and Rancharia. This is a study with quantitative and qualitative approach, whose research subjects are 98 community health agents working in 16 groups of Family Health of the cities studied. Data collection will be performed by applying a questionnaire to characterize the community health agent and a form that will seek to identify the actions that this professional performs. The data collection instruments were built on the instrument used in the project CIPESC and skills made by Health Ministry. (AU)
