Abstract

Soft Computing is a research area that work with environments with uncertainty, imprecision, partial truth, approximations. Often classic techniques do not work well in such situations. Soft computing can be viewed as a foundation component for the emerging field of conceptual intelligence, such as: fuzzy theory, neural networks, evolutionary computation, intelligent systems, possibility theory. The main purpose of this project is to present theoretical and practical analysis applied to the following engineering problems: Fuzzy Multi-Objective Problems; Soft Computing Applied to Computational Problems; Job-Shop Problems; Multi-Objective Hidrothermal Problems; Multicommodity Network Problems; Multimodal Network Flow Problems.
