Semiautonomous prototype for to scan in situ qualitative and quantitative parameters in vineyards

Abstract

For vinegrapes the balance between crop load and leaf area, adequately illuminated, influences yield and quality. The plant-soil relationship can also affect that quality, and the change in the concentration of compounds that are important for grape, juice and wine quality composition. Among the most important parameters for describing the quality of the grapes in the field are the levels of polyphenols and anthocyanins, which are considered of relevant correlation with the quality and intensity of aroma in grape, juice and finished wine.If a variation in grape quality can be tracked down into field, may feasible the opportunity for more refined management of the harvest and it may be possible the delineation of management zones and consequent selective harvest of vine, with separated handling of graded batches of grapes, according with pre-established concepts of quality for the juice and wine industry. The aim of this study is to develop a semi-automated and self-propelled system for the georreferenced sampling of vine vigor and grape quality parameters associated with soil physical characteristics.
