Abstract

This project includes actions related to the characterization of the work process and production of horticulture farms, detailing the use of technology and territorial structure of the property. The goal is to create a solid base of information to facilitate the exchange of information, knowledge and experience between the production chain, exploring how new processes can contribute to increased product quality and competitiveness of the producer, identify processes related to implementation of procedures environmentally sustainable agricultural practices and production processing. Among the practices that will enable the achievement of these goals can mention the cartographic representation of the property and its territorial structure in order to provide information consistent with their different uses, and identify compliance with the standards of the legal reserve areas. We emphasize the process of monitoring the actions of production (production management area, fertilizers, pesticides, irrigation, harvesting, processing, waste management and pollution, management of labor). What is expected at the end of the process is to format a consistent picture of the new agricultural practices implemented and establish its difference from traditional practices. The monitoring of the production process should provide fundamental insights in this process the day to day implementation. (AU)
