Abstract

The study of vascular Doppler mode indices in healthy pregnant bitches and / or that showed pathological changes during and after pregnancy (stillbirth) and the determination of new measures of diagnostic technique in veterinary practice and may assist in the diagnosis of hemodynamic disorders has not correlated in bitches. Among the evaluations that should be correlated with the findings of Doppler mode in the pre Christmas is the biometry of the fetus, measurement of blood pressure and serum levels of atrial natriuretic peptide. Another important factor in assessing pre-natal care is the immunological profile of bitches. It is expected that the assessments in addition to other diagnostic techniques, it is important for prenatal bitches. The goal of this paper is to enhance the ultrasound diagnosis of pregnancy in bitches the maternal-fetal Doppler in prenatal evaluation, with the determination of vascular indices have not yet studied in veterinary medicine. Be used in this experiment 30 females, weighing between 5 to 15 pounds. The animals will be submitted prior medical history, physical examination, and obstetric, blood pressure measurement and blood test. The ultrasound and Doppler mode will be performed with apparatus Mylab VET-30/ESAOTE (transducers of 5.0 and 12.0 MHz). Will be held diagnostic ultrasound early pregnancy (day 15 of pregnancy) and by the Doppler ultrasound (5th to 9th week of pregnancy), measured the peak systolic velocity, end diastolic velocity, resistance index and pulsatile vascular (ovarian a. cord, . fetal middle cerebral, uterine a.) and evaluated the presence of unilateral or bilateral incisions in the Doppler tracings. There will also be in the 2nd, 5th and 9th week of pregnancy to fetal biometry, measurement of blood pressure, serum levels of atrial natriuretic peptide and immunological profile of dogs for evaluation of cytokines. The experiment will be random with a significance level of 5% for testing. (AU)
