Abstract

The project aims to study the effects of eating citrus pectin in the period of increased lipid deposition in adipose tissue (28 to 42 days) on the absorption, mobilization and lipid deposition in broilers. Thus be used for four treatments (ad libitum diet with pectin, pectin-free control diet ad libitum control diet without pectin and quantitatively restricted, control diet without pectin and energy-restricted). Will be conducted two experiments to analysis: use of nutrients and energy diets, and viscosity, pH and enzymatic activity in digesta (Experiment 1) and lipid profile, protein, uric acid, fatty acids, glucose, lactate, glycogen in blood; lipid, cholesterol and fatty acids in liver and muscle; histology, morphometric and immunohistochemistry, feed intake, weight gain and abdominal fat yield.
