Broilers performance and digestors energy production, using three types of bed

Abstract

Will be performed two experiments in College ofAgricultural and Veterinarian Sciences, with the objective of evaluate the performance, carcass and parts efficiency, bone densitometry, of chicken bed production; anddetermine the bed chemistry composition, the production of "in nature" waste and dry matter and biogas production potential of broilers created in different types of chicken bed. In the first experiment will be used 600 chicks (Cobb®), distributed in 24 box in a completely randomized design, with three different types bed ( peanut shell, shavings and Napier grass) and eight replicates of 25 chickens each one. The second experiments will performed from of the three treatments of five bed replicates and of waste from of the first experiment distributed in completely randomized design. The bed produced will be share in two parts, being for the digesters supply in batch, allowing the evaluation of the biogas production potential. The other bed partwill be stored and divided in 60 parts, witch one constituting daily load of digesters continuous. With this procedure, the acquisition of the data permit the knowledge of the effect bed different types about biogas production potential to use shaped peak production (batch digesters) and the continue shapes ( digester with daily loads). This data are particularly important for the digestion system sizing and energy production. The data will be analyzed for the SAS® (SAS Institute, 2002) program in both experiments. (AU)
