Improvement of the infrastructure of the UNESPnet for connectivity to the ANSP network

Abstract

In this fourth stage of the project, the objectives are: establish mechanisms for traffic control of applications, increase the bandwidth of the connection to the ANSP network and keep the investments in UNESP's wireless network. In order to satisfy the requirements for a guaranteed minimum bandwidth to the critical applications and their effective prioritization, it is being proposed to purchase a equipment which function is to monitor all outgoing traffic to Internet and to the ANSP network, so that those applications are more efficiently served. In order to increase the bandwidth of the connection between the ANSP Network and he UnespNET, it is proposed the purchase equipments that allow the use of DWDM technology (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) in the contracted links, so that the bandwidth would be increased from the current 1 Gbps (one gigabit per second) to 10 Gbps (gigabits per ten seconds), besides the implementation of route redundancy to ensure total availability of access to the ANSP network. Finally, it is proposed the acquisition of 520 (five hundred and twenty) Access Points according with the standards of the UNESP's wireless network, a new Wireless Controller module, which should provide redundancy for the system operation, and a new set of licenses wich are required for the operation of the Access Points.
