Abstract

Talking about death in an environment where the focus is the struggle for life is very difficult, even if the matter is discussed with patients and health professionals who live with this reality. Care fully and appreciate the inner strength of the patient are alternatives that may reflect positive changes to coping these issues. The objective of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of Therapeutic Intervention "Relaxation, Mental Images and Spirituality" (RMIS) in patients who are in Palliative Care Cancer in the level of spiritual well-being and encouragement of changes in the main physical symptoms. The research will happen in the Unity of Oncology of the Hospital Clinics of Marilia and after application of Therapeutic Intervention RMIS, will be applied the Edmonton Symptom Assessment System and Spiritual Well-Being Scale as instruments of data collection. The results will be analyzed using descriptive statistics. (AU)
