Abstract

The purpose of this research is to comprehend the way in which the teaching of Philosophy has been considered in Brazil, the manner in which this teaching was and has been constituted in the academic area by the researches about this subject as well as the issues that have been debated by the researchers in this area. In order to do that, we will present the context in which the debate was conducted in Brazil, aiming to map, in the journals of Philosophy and Education, the main paradigms that have guided the different approaches.
