Abstract

OBJECTIVE: The objective of our study is to evaluate the correlation between immunohistochemical expression of aromatase, cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) , rates of cell proliferation as Ki-67 and IGF1-R and invasion factor cells: matriz metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2), matriz metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) and CD44 in breast invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC).CASUISTIC AND METHODS: 100 patients with IDC of the breast will be evaluated by tissue microarray (TMA) and immunohistochemically screened with anti-aromatase antibodies, anti-MMP-2 antibodies, anti-MMP-9 antibodies, anti-CD44 antibodies, anti-cox2 antibodies, anti-Ki67 antibodies and anti-IGF1-R antibodies before and after selective Cox2 inhibitor use.
