Abstract

The project is an attempt at reaching a detailed description of the evolution of Wittgenstein's philosophy in the early 30's, putting the description of the changes undergone in this period into the service of a retrospective understanding of the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus and the philosophy which begins to emerge with the dictation of the Blue Book, in 1933, and will culminate in the composition of the Philosophische Untersuchungen. As part of this project, we will write an analytical commentary on the Philosophische Bemerkungen (1930) and a collective work dealing with the Big Typescript (1931). In addition, we will organize three national conferences, one international colloquium and weekly seminars involving professors and students from USP, UFSCar and UNIFESP. Our ultimate goal is to constitute an international nucleous of research dedicated to the study of the evolution of Wittgenstein's philosophy. (AU)
