Abstract

Nitrogen and sulfur are essential elements for plant growth and their availabilities may change plant morpho-productive, nutritional and biochemical characteristics. In this research the objective is to study the influence of nitrogen forms and rates, associated or not with sulfur rates in morpho-productive, nutritional and biochemical plant attributes, that can influence grasses dry matter yield. The experiment will be carried out with Piatã and Xaraés Brachiaria brizantha cultivars. The influence of combinations of nitrogen and sulfur rates in the morphogenic, nutritional and productive attributes of Piatã palisadegrass will be studied in the first experiment. Nitrogen forms (nitrate and ammonium) effects on morphogenesis and nutrient concentrations of Xaraés palisadegrass will be undertaken in the second experiment. The results will be submitted to ANOVA, with the by use of 5% level of significance. Depending on the F test significance, regression analysis and/or mean comparisons will be used. (AU)
