Abstract

The specific scientific objectives of this project are: To screen a select group of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria strains indigenous to Brazil for activity in triggering enhanced plant growth by volatile emissions. To screen natural and synthetic chemicals in plants, based on the 2,3-butanediol structure that trigger growth promotion. To collect and chemically identify volatile components from bacterial strains indigenous to Brazil that exhibit growth promoting properties. (AU)
