Abstract

In the post socialist debate in social anthropology, we have a paradox: the post socialist anthropologists incorporated the British tradition, which were constructed from the Africanism over all between 1930 and 1960, but they proposed to understand the social transformations in a limited post socialist universe, Central and Eastern Europe and the territories of the former Soviet Union. However, as we know, the socialist experience did not restrict itself to these territories. In European former-colonies in Africa we had different processes with the socialist reference, the marxism-leninism (Etiópia, Moçambique and Angola), or endogenous traditions associates to the socialism, the "African socialism" (Tanzânia, Guiné-Conacri, Guiné-Bissau). The project and practical of the socialism in these countries, with a postcolonial particularity, took the same ideas and common institutions to the popular democracies of the Eastern Europe and to the Soviet socialism, such as "revolution", "nationalization", "new man", etc. We want to overcome this "geographic" and ideological limit trying to put together in the same post socialist universe reflexions on Africa and Eurasia.
