Abstract
The success of building automation systems for the residential market and low footfall commercial premises depends on two factors: the capability of the interface to adapt to the needs of the customer and the suitability of the price for the market segments they hope to reach. The proposal for technological development presented here is based on the need to create new user interfaces for building automation systems. The stages of the project were defined in accordance with the previous experience of the project coordinator in this market. In phase 1, the objective is to conceive and develop the requirements for this interface up to the level of prototype. (AU)
