Abstract

Dr. Cesar Mateo will participate in three projects of enzyme immobilization which are being developed at the Laboratory of Enzymology: Enzymatic hydrolysis of cheese whey proteins with immobilized proteolytic enzymes to produce bioactive peptides (FAPESP Process 2008/08252-0 and PNPD 02536/09-9); Multipoint covalent immobilization of xylanolytic enzymes (FAPESP Process 2008/09332-8); Development of methodology and activation of alternative low cost supports for enzymes immobilization. He will discuss the possibility of peroxidase immobilization and other enzymes on the alternative support.Complementing these activities, he will teach the course "Special Topics" at the Food and Nutrition Post-graduate program of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and at Biotechnology Post-graduate program of the Institute of Chemistry, and will conduct visits and lectures at the Institute of Biosciences of Rio Claro and UFSCar, whose researchers are involved with us in the developed projects.
