Abstract

Studies of quantum fluid formed from Bose-Einstein condensate are among the most importants topics in modern physics. Recently, cold atoms have allowed the demonstration the occurrence of Anderson localization using the free superfluid atomic interactions, in a situation where atoms were interacting with a random potential in space. Our group in the IFSC/USP, has worked on aspects of excitation of atomic quantum fluids subject to time oscillatory excitation. In this sense, we intend to show that random temporal disturbances also can lead to certain types of localization of matter waves. The visit of Dr. ROATI to our lab for six months, should accelerate and strengthen our experiments and interpretations. We have a success story with the collaboration of Dr. Giacomo ROATI, and his visits should continue our relationship. (AU)
