Abstract

The adsorption-desorption (AD) models have been used in physics for a long time. It has been anticipated that AD can be used in other applications as well. Such applications often require statistical inference of the model parameters. The statistical analysis of AD has been largely undeveloped and to cover this gap is the first goal of the project. Under certain conditions AD dynamics is reversible and admits the invariant measure. Studying the percolating properties of this measure (when it exists) is the second goal of the project. We use this analysis for modeling the propagation of macro-cracks in solids. (AU)
