Abstract

Prof. Qvortrup researches childhood as a structural segment of the society. He was director of the pioneering research 'Childhood as a Social Phenomenon' (1987-1992). He created the Research Committee of Sociology of Childhood at the International Sociological Association (ISA). He also directed the Childhood journal, a reference to the publication of research in the area. He will come to Brazil to teach discipline in the Post-Graduate Program at FEUSP, lectures and accompanying research groups. He will attend the Annual Meeting of ANPED. The fund required is to financing the coming of Prof. Qvortrup to Brazil to begin the process of rapprochement and exchanges, so as to build up the institutional trade and open new prospects for cooperation.
