Abstract

O Dr Christopher Parrish will conduct a research project and will teach up to a 15 hour course.This is part of the project "Análise comparativa da composição bioquímica e do valor nutricional de Dendrocephalus brasiliensis, Daphnia laevis e Artemia salina alimentadas com algas cultivadas sob diferentes condições ambientais".The experiment we would undertake would involve feeding algae to Brazilian zooplankton and taking samples for analysis in his laboratory here in Canada.The course he proposes to teach would involve approximately 3 equal modules within an Applied Chemistry Lecture Series: Environmental Chemistry, Chemometrics, and Essential fatty acids in aquatic food webs.
