Abstract

This Project has as its main objective the consolidation of a network of social sciences researchers, within the area of the social and cultural anthropology, interested in analyzing the dynamics of the local and translocal afro-Brazilian religious migration networks. The project will encompass both general and detailed aspects that contribute to the construction of the identities and social imaginaries, in aspects such as the therapeutic practices of migrants. As such, the scenario of the afro-Brazilian religions in the Great São Paulo area will be analyzed, and the relations established between those cult houses from São Paulo, Portugal and Andaluzia, Spain will be studied.
