Abstract

We propose to search the whole sky to find the common proper motion (CPM) stars brighter than V~16.0 mag. For this purpose, we will first find the CPM stars in the very accurate astrometric catalogue PPMX. Afterwards, we will perform data mining in two additional databases: *The proper motion catalogue in the low-extinction regions toward the galactic bulge, based only on CCD meridian observations obtained at the Valinhos Observatory during the last 15 years, and *The 14 white dwarf fields, observed with the 2.2m telescope of ESO-La Silla, in which the proper motions have to be measured. In this way we will determine the minimum percentage of the stars with common origin in the solar neighborhood, including the very wide orbital binaries, on the basis of a combination of several criteria. To determine the common proper motion stars we will follow a statistical method similar to the one used in a recent work of the applicant. (AU)
