Abstract

The objective of this project is to develop a collaborative scientific interaction between researchers from Brazil and Colombia in the area of Materials, nanoscience and nanotechnology. The project will focus on the understanding of the structural, energetic and magnetic properties of intrinsic defects and impurities in wide band gap oxides, and also understanding the properties of nanostructures composed of these oxides. Some of the materials that we intent to study are ZnO and TiO2, due to its technological importance. (AU)
