Abstract

Project plan for the visit of Professor Jorge A. González. The plan envisages the specific collaboration of the visiting professor with the Núcleo de Estudos de Comunicação Comunitária e Local (Comuni)/Comunidade Emergente de Investigação (CEI Comuni), connected to Póscom and Metodista, and the establishment of a net relation with other Research Groups, particularly of Sorocaba, Bauru and João Pessoa/Campina Grande, which explore subjects around this theme. The activities will developed through consultations, short courses, conferences, seminars for Research Groups and Graduate and post-Graduate programs in Communication in the State of São Paulo and other states in Brazil. The objective is to support researchers and their teams with reference to research methodology in Communication, that is, to offer theoretical and methodological subsidies for the advancement of research in Communication, as well as continuing the process of creating networks and advancing in the development of research on emerging communities of local knowledge in Latin America. The support base is in the promotion of high level theoretical studies on subjects such as science epistemology, knowledge as complex system, processes of community self-determination given problems relative to distributed intelligence from the Information-Communication-Knowledge perspective, among others.
