Abstract

Abstract - the first motivation to this research was the contact with Prof. Dr. Chefa Alonso, Spain, who has been in São Paulo in 2011, presenting a Seminar about Free Improvisation to students of Music in Undergraduate and Graduate colevels, in the Instituto of Arts fo the State University of São Paulo - UNESP, Brazil. The similarity between the two works - Chefa Alonso´s proposal and the one which is conducted by the researcher who signs this document brought to both teachers the idea of doing a research project evolving the two countries - Brazil and Spain. The research - named in Portuguese "estado da arte", is frequently adopted when the obtained data about the research are not enough known to characterize its procedures and to permit accompanying its development. So, the objective of the present investigation is to know if creative practices are being developed in Brazil in different spaces and groups, how they are being done, how the process is being conducted by teachers and responsible people in different spaces and if it is able to bring students interested on them. We intend to look for these data in Government Portal of Thesis, in articles published in Brazilian and International scientific magazines and internet, by a survey applied to teachers in a social net which reunites music educators in Brazil and by interviews made with teachers, students and interested people interested in this kind of work. Partial and final results will be presented in research Seminars both in Brazil and Spain. The resultant knowledge of this research will be presented in Congress and meetings of Music Education, and in lectures as well With these instruments we intend to incentivize the adoption of creative procedures and techniques in music education classes in schools and cultural spaces, attending children, teens and adults.
