Abstract

In the present study will be made analyzes to characterize the stabilization pond sludge from WWTP and determine the dosage of coagulant from the results obtained from Jar Test. The best results obtained in the Jar Test will be to apply as coagulants dosage in the Sludge Blanket Settler Flocculator (SBSF) to verify the separation capability of this device in separating solids from liquid of the sludge withdrawed from the bottom of facultative stabilization ponds. Therefore, its expect the search the result to obtain reference measurements from the Jar Test and estimate the amount of sludge that can be removed by the SBSF, and thus establish correlations for qualitative and quantitative of scale-up of the SBSF for use in full scale.
