Production and characterization of elastomeric materials containing adittives obtained from renewable sources

Abstract

This work proposes the study of new rubber formulations replacing sintetic additives, namely aromatic oil, inorganic filler and zinc oxide, for additives from natural resources, like soybean oil, wheat and sugar cane. The raw materials have the following characteristics:MD 600: epoxizided soy bean oil as plastificant, replacing the naphtenic and aromatic oils;MD CO: inert filler from wheat, replacing inorganic fillers, such as CaCO3MD ECR: from the sugar cane, it has zinc in its composition, replacing the zinc oxide, with lower content of zinc.
