Abstract

The Myrmecophaga tridactyla is a solitary animal that lives in the forests of Brazil. It is an animal of slow movements, vision and hearing loss and to the detriment of these aspects are easy prey for hunters and predators. The anatomy of the animal is important for professionals who will work with your clinic, surgery and reproduction to improve the understanding of the animal. The genital organs are the starting point for possible storage and reproduction, since knowing its aspects will be possible to manipulate breeding of the animal, eg, harvesting oocytes for future manipulations. The animals that will be used by the Environmental Police were sent to the Department of Clinical and Surgical Care of Wild Animals (Saccas) Veterinary Hospital "Dr Halim Atique" University Center of Rio Preto (UNIRP), who obtained medical or surgical care and came unfortunately died.
