Abstract

In Brazil, there are few published studies that address women psychosocial reorganization after had suffered sexual violence, and the role of resilience in this process. Objective: To investigate the meanings attributed by women to the psychosocial reorganization process after had suffered sexual violence, and to describe the difficulties faced by these women during the follow-up process at an outpatient clinic. Methods: It will be carried out a descriptive study with both qualitative and quantitative approach. For the quantitative approach (cross-sectional study) the sample size was estimated in 112 women, who had suffered sexual violence, followed at an outpatient clinic. A structured questionnaire will be applied to these women. For the qualitative approach, semi-structured interviews will be carried out with a specific guideline. A purposeful sample will be taken from that group. It was estimated that about 10 interview will be performed. Data analysis: A descriptive analysis will be developed with quantitative data and thematic content analysis will be carried out with qualitative data. (AU)
