Abstract

Resumo em InglêsWe will study neurotizations with one, two, three and four nerve grafts. We will use rats whose fibular nerves will be sectioned, stumps, inverted/sutured and buried in underlying muscles to produce denervation of the muscle cranial tibial. Sural nerve grafts from both sides will be sutured the lateral face of the tibial nerve and the other end will be introduced in the tibialis cranial through Direct Muscular Neurotization. In terms of methodology, will use 100 rats that will be divided into 6 groups: GEN - normal control (not suffered procedure except the withdrawal of the two nerves sural); GD - Control of denervation (suffer only section of the fibular nerve and burial of the stumps); G1 - one nerve graft; G2 - two nerve grafts; G3 - three nerve grafts; G4 - four nerve grafts. After 6 months the animals will be assessed on the earth, functional study of the gait, electrophysiological study and sacrificed. Will be removed from the muscle cranial tibial which will have its mass measured and also submitted for histology and histomorphometry. In the same way the segment of the nerves involved, i.e. tibial and fibular nerve grafts will be submitted to the same procedures. The results will be submitted to ANOVA and, if detected statistical difference, Tukey's test. (AU)
