Abstract

The visit of Luis Marques will be organized into four phases: training course for undergraduates, lectures and scientific meetings for developing international cooperation project and promotion of international undergraduate students' travel, ongoing collaboration of expertise. The training course for undergraduate students of degrees in Geosciences and Environmental Education IGc/USP and Natural Sciences of EACH/USP, both in São Paulo (SP) includes the recognition that teacher education is a decisive factor to be able to conceive, and then implement a science curriculum in line with both the needs of the society or with indicators of educational research. Under this perspective, the proposed training course Teaching and Curriculum Development in Teacher Education Geosciences, lead approaches articulated with the results of that investigation, and also with issues that emerge in the classroom. All this without forgetting that any initial training, for more complete it is, does not relieve the invaluable contribution of lifelong training, in which the reflection on the practices is a crucial factor. The course will run for 40 hours, given 10 to 19 December 2012, in IGc/USP and will target students from both undergraduate courses. (AU)
