Abstract

Non-domestic species with great livestock potential should be operated in a rational way, in order to avoid extinction thereof. Thus is the importance of on reproduction researches with wild specimens bred in captivity. However, the Brazil still falls short when it comes to the creation of such as remunerable activity, despite the rich fauna diversity. In this context, exalt studies about various spermatogenic stages of development and the spermatic pathway components, especially those associated with puberty and sexual maturation should be performed. Enzymes of the cytochrome complex: P450 aromatase and P450c17 are responsible for estrogen production regulation and reproductive functions, as well as the estrogens and androgens metabolism. For studies, will be used testes and spermatic pathway fragments from agouti and cavies at different ages. The materials will come from Multiplication Center from Universidade Federal Rural do Semiarido, Mossoró, RN. The cellular and sub-surface analysis and photomicrographs will be conducted by Laboratory of transmission and scanning electron microscopy from FMVZ/USP. The gene expression identification and/or related-enzymes in steroidogenic process from various development stages will be made by immunohistochemical and real-time PCR. Will be made detailing from spermatic pathway by ultrastructure components to verify spermatogenic process development and other testicular compartments, correlated with the enzymes expression: Cytochrome P450 Aromatase, NADPH-Cytochrome P450 reductase and Cytochrome P450c17 (17-±-Hydroxylase/17,20-lyase) in agouti and cavies bred in captivity.
