Recovery with the introduction of pasture estilosantes Campo Grande

Abstract

In Brazil, especially in São Paulo pastures are the most used in animal feed, much of which are in the process of degradation. This work will have to study the feasibility of recovering degraded pasture at different ways of introducing Estilosantes cv. Campo Grande (Stylosanthes capitata and S. macrocephala) in Brachiaria decumbens through evaluations of dry matter production, organic reserves, root system, macro and micronutrients shoot and soil chemical properties. It will use the experimental design in blocks with split plots (fertilized with and without phosphorus), with four replications and composed of seven strategies for direct planting of legume in the pasture: grass Brachiaria witness (TB), desiccated partial with 1.5 L ha-1 of glyphosate (DP); total desiccation with 3.0 L ha-1 of glyphosate (DT); tillage (NT) with soil scarification (E), harrowing rome (G) and plowing + disking (AG). In treatments G and AG sowing broadcast will be held and the other in the form of direct seeding. The trial will be held at Paulista Technology Agency Agribusiness - APTA Far West, in the city of Andradina / SP December 2012 to June 2014 on soil classified as Typic. Assessments to be undertaken will be the production of dry matter from pasture, percentage of leaf and stem + sheath percentage of grass, percentage of dead material, percentage of legumes, percentage of invasive plants, levels of leaf nutrient content. At the end of the experiment will be a review of the root system at two depths (0-10 cm and 10-20 cm), and the roots will be given the total-N, root biomass, area, length and diameter and soil will be collected analyzed soil chemical properties. As expected benefits intended to determine practices more efficient recovery of degraded pastures fertilized with phosphorus or consortium, and the most appropriate forms of sustainable production.
