Abstract

The main objective of the proposal is to describe, briefly, the application of infrastructure expenses for institutional research, linked to the line "Auxilio à Pesquisa - Reserva Técnica Institucional", held in the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - EMBRAPA, Environment unit. Embrapa Environment was established in 1982 under another name and only in the 90's the current profile of action begun, which is the result of successive planning strategy. In response to the mission established by Embrapa, the focus of the unit, involve the assessment of environmental impacts in the Brazilian agriculture, monitoring and feasibility studies focusing the environmental management of some major environmental issues of agriculture, contributing to the definition of public policies for environmental management of some major themes for sustainable agriculture. Covering actions developed in Unit, like: (a) agri-environmental quality, focusing on monitoring and evaluation of environmental quality, (b) agro-environmental management, with a view to environmental adaptation of production processes and (c) agri-environmental policies, with special attention to the evaluation of technological alternatives and recommendations for setting public policy. To meet the demands listed above, Environment Embrapa currently have a staff of 177 professional public policy. To meet the demands listed above, Environment Embrapa currently have a staff of 177 professional (58 researchers, 44 analysts and 75 assistants) and a complex of 17 laboratories and 45 acres of experimental fields. Due to the institutional mission of research, technology development and function of productivity, the unit received the amount of R$ 31,721.00, base year 2010, year 2011, to support the research collective structure, benefiting several projects of the Unit. With which we intend to purchase 3 mills and several consumable parts of the mills to improve the sample preparation sector. (AU)
