Abstract

The study of Ultra-High Energy Cosmic Rays (UHECRs) is a research field which lies between the elementary particles physics and astrophysics. This area has been revitalized in the last decades, partially due to the advances in the experimental techniques which lead to the solution of important problems in cosmic ray physics and partially due to the discoveries of new structures in the cosmic rays spectrum and new ultra-high energy particles and gamma-ray astrophysical sources. In this project, I present a plan of activities to be realized in the Centro de Ciências Naturais e Humanas (CCNH) of the Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC), in works related to the UHECRs, including the project of a Laboratory for the Instrumentation of High Energy Radiation Detectors, activities to be realized in the Pierre Auger Observatory --- comprising data analysis and participation in shifts --- and advisoring of graduate and undergraduate students.The study of Ultra-High Energy Cosmic Rays (UHECRs) is a research field which lies between the elementary particles physics and astrophysics.
