Abstract

The replacement and upgrading of equipment used in endoscopic procedures always have a high cost to the institutions that employ this technique. These are important materials and reliable provenance, which are increasingly used in surgical practice of implying hospitals discharging patients, a significant reduction in length of stay and the risk of nosocomial infection, among other benefits. In our institution, countless studies and surveys are used for data and reports collected from the procedures and surgeries as a source retrospective for evaluation and therefore becomes indispensable to maintenance of equipment and materials under appropriate conditions in quantity and quality. There are at CAISM I UNICAMP, three sets of surgical video surgery and two component video hysteroscopy that require routine replacement of rigid materials and accessories. (AU)
