Abstract

This project is about collaboration on research projects related to the development and application of Approximate Bayesian Computation (ABC) tools to genetics and genomics problems, such as whole-genome prediction of phenotypic traits (Project I), and on structural equation models applied to the analysis of molecular markers information and gene mapping (Project II). Additional activities to be developed during the visit to ESALQ would include a graduate level course at LCE, seminars, and interaction with students interested in statistical genetics and genomics, as well as animal/plant breeding applications.
