Analysis of osteogenesis, cytotoxicity and genotoxicity of bone substitutes in osteoblasts derived from human alveolar bone

Abstract

The integration of the bone substitute results from material-cell interaction. The objective of this study is to investigate the behavior of human osteoblastic cells and osteogenesis in vitro on two types of bone substitute: a xenogenic - Bio-Oss ® (Geistlich) and other alloplastic - resorbable tissue replacement (RTR, Septodont). Data will be obtained as to adhesion, cell viability, total protein content, alkaline phosphatase activity, amount of nodules and matrix analysis of genotoxicity. The data will be evaluated by ANOVA and Tukey's multiple comparison statistical tests, both with a level significance of 5%. (AU)
