Abstract

This is a qualitative study entered into the field of action research, taking as object the nursing education activities in health care in primary care services in São Paulo. Aims to build an educational project with the Primary Care nurses in order to promote the development of competences of these professionals for educational activities from the perspective of Popular Education. Uses as theoretical-methodological Determination Theory of Social Health-Disease Process, anchored in the perspective of Popular Education in Health As a methodological tool adopts the workshops planned in partnership with the subjects discussed. Study sites comprise two primary care services in the area west of the city of São Paulo. The subjects covered will be the nursing staff of the services mentioned. The empirical results of the workshops will be subjected to the technique of Discourse Analysis. It is hoped that the implementation of this action research contribute to the transformation of healthcare practices, among them education, in the context of primary care, in order to ensure the health care needs of individuals, based on the principles and guidelines of SUS.
